Bridging Vision & Execution

I’m Kanyi, a product designer and developer with 8 years of experience across design and engineering, including 3 years embedded full-time in a live SaaS product used across five markets. I work at the intersection of design and development, which lets me own a feature end-to-end, from the initial problem to a working interface in production.

How I Work

I’m not attached to a single job title, because the goal is always the same: solve the right problem, well.

• Problem definition first. Before any design or code, I make sure I understand the actual user problem and business goal, so the work that follows is aimed at something real, not just plausible.
• Design and development together. I use Figma for prototyping and React/TypeScript for production builds, and I’ve built design systems from scratch, which means less gets lost in translation between what’s designed and what ships.
• Working with a team, not around one. I work directly with stakeholders, explain technical tradeoffs in plain language, and stay aligned with the team throughout, not just at kickoff and handoff.
